Epson Ecotank CISS

Introducing the new and approved M&P Vibrant Designs CISS. This model is specialized for the Epson ET8550, but can be used on more models such as Ecotank L8050, L18050, ET8500, and L8160.  This system eliminates the need for traditional ink cartridges, making it particularly useful for high-volume printing. This system uses large reservoirs for your standard CMYK ink colors as well as white and an additional tank for waste ink. With this system, you avoid the typical "white ink clog" issues that most dtf printers struggle with. You no longer have to deal with shaking your printers on a daily basis. This CISS assembly comes with a built-in circulation pump as well as a mixer for your white ink reservoir.

 As far as a daily routine, you simply turn the circulation pump and mixer on for 1-2 minutes. We personally use it for no more than 1 minute, that is plenty. After that, you turn off pump/mixer and run a print head cleaning. That's it for your routine, simple and allows you to focus your time on prints instead of clog issues. While you can dial up the speed on the white circulation pump, it is not recommended to go any higher than the set speed which is 0.15. Any higher, and you risk flooding your print head with white ink. If you happen to run into any issues down the road with faint white ink lines or anything regarding white, it is more than likely due to dried up ink on bottom of print head. The recommended method for resolving that is the "shoeshine" method on print head.

 The CISS assembly will come with instructions as well as a tool/accessory bag. The only item you will need to purchase separately will be the chip re-setter for waste tank. While this system utilizes the external waste tank, the printer will still prompt base on print volume that the tank is "full". Part number for the chip re-setter that we personally use has been provided below and can be purchased from Amazon. There are many more options available, just make sure it is compatible with your printer model. There is also a video tutorial explaining the install.
